Stomping the gas in a buck ten wet weight car with an engine too big for it will lock up the crank in minutes flat! Especially when C8s are the biggest mistake GMs engineering drop outs created! I bet that crank went from 188 to 249 in the strip just before he turned the car! And yet the warning signal won't read the crank

You guys are the "Lenny & Sqiggy" of car reviews/issues? I don't know if it's just bad karma or what? You guy's drove the brand new C8 way too hard ( break in miles)? Real car guys would have known that? You should never drive a new car that hard to begin with ( with or without oil)? But the scariest thing was seeing a 6'9 man/child who looks like Gene Wilder ( Corey) drive that car as crazy as he did with that "rubber room " laugh he has? I don't know it's just me but something is not mentally right with Corey? This is the reason why I'd wait at least 2 years after a new car is introduced to the market doesn't matter what brand it is, there's always going to be issues with the 1st batch. Since the C8 is high in demand for being the first Corvette mid engine mass produced sports car, it seems Chevy is going for quantity than quality.

bobo lulu Not every car will have issues my point is the newer cars introduced to the market no matter what brand it is, there’s bound to be issues. Its best to wait until the recalls are addressed. You already know that the C8 after being introduced to the public is on demand dealerships are overwhelmed with orders so GMC/ Chevrolet are pushing harder to supply their demands along the line I’m sure 1 or 2 C8 of 10 made on their line will have a issue. I’m on Guam and I have placed my order for the C8 I will not be getting 1 any time soon until fall of 2021. So I cancelled it and decided to wait until the demand slows down maybe then issues will be at a minimum when I get the C8.

One minor problem in a production run so far of thousands of vehicles? You make it sound like its every car. I see those vids of guys who are regularly tracking their C8s and not having one issue.

Its always the first batch of anything new......that's with anything. First time buyers are just testing tools, until they can fix the bugs.......thats just how it is, might have been a bad oil pump, the computer could be faulty were it was reading the wrong oil pressure and percentage, could be all sorts of things. Hope that the guy gets it handled without coming out of pocket

That's what happens when you buy a C8 that was rushed through production to meet demand. Shoddy workmanship due to time window for builds. I MIGHT consider buying one used after the original buyer can't pay for it. Haha... I'll stick to my gorgeous C1 and C7 for now. 😎
